Clothing and Shoes

Wearing comfortable shoes is a must as you'll be doing lots of walking and standing. Some of the rides may get you wet, so plan accordingly with either quick drying clothes or a change of clothes for young kids who may need an entire change of clothes after the water attractions.

Arrive Early, Stay Late

Arriving early ensures the shortest wait times for the most popular rides. Beelining to these rides first when the parks open, frees up the rest of your day to see as much of each park as you can. Staying late at Universal Studios means a thinned out crowd and shorter wait times for rides and attractions.

FAQs

  • Which rides have the shortest lines and wait time?

Rides with the longest lines include Shrek 4-D, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Men in Black Alien Attack, The Simpsons, Revenge of the Mummy, and the coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. The shortest lines can be found at the kid friendly, Curious George, A Day in the Park With Barney, Fievel's Playland, and Woody Woodpecker's Coaster, as well as at E.T. Adventure, at the interactive Lucy-A Tribute, and the live shows, The Blues Brothers Show and Universal's Horror Make-up Show.
  • Are backpacks allowed on rides?

Backpacks are not allowed on many major rides, such as the roller coasters. There is short term storage available at many of the rides entrances, but checking bags is very time consuming and lines can be long.
