There’s something else to celebrate this Oscar season. At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, the red-carpet glitz and glamour of classic Hollywood come to life at the world-premiere of “Hollywood en Pointe.” This new Orlando Ballet production will present the stunning choreography by artistic director Robert Hill, and music from the silver screen’s beloved scores of the past and present. As part of the world-premiere, the Orlando Ballet welcomes guest choreographer Peter Chu, and a debut performance from up-and-coming dancer Arcadian Broad. This two-night Orlando ballet spectacular opens February 15 at 8 p.m. with additional performances on February 16 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Can’t make it to one of the Orlando Ballet’s three performances of “Hollywood en Pointe?” The Orlando Ballet will hold two encore shows at The Garden Theatre in Winter Garden, FL on March 9 and 10. That means, another chance to catch this cinema-inspired Orlando ballet production before its spotlight fades away.
