It's time to take a dive into the world under the sea for Broadway's The Little Mermaid.>The musical has made a big splash on the Broadway circuit. Based on the beloved Disney film and the famous Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, the astounding new musical brings Ariel and her underwater friends to life on stages across America. On April 13th, The Little Mermaid will pay a visit to the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center. The musical tells the story of a beautiful mermaid named Ariel who longs to live life above the surface of the ocean. The young mermaid defies her father and escapes the wrath of an evil sea sorcerer who grants her the gift of legs. She heads for dry land in an attempt to win over a handsome prince.
Under the Sea and Above all Expectations
Disney's "Under-the-Sea Spectacular" features many familiar hits like "Part of Your World," "Kiss the Girl," and the Academy Award-Winning "Under the Sea". The stage rendition also includes 10 new songs written by original songwriter Alan Menken, who joined forces with Glenn Slater and Tony Award-winning playwright Doug Wright to put together the new tracks.
